Garlic Green Beans
Makes 4 servings

Prep Time: 10 min.
Cooking Time: 11 min.


  • 1-1/2 - cups water
  • 1/4  - teaspoon salt
  • 1  - pound fresh green beans
  • 2  - Tablespoons butter
  • 1  - teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
  • 1/2  - teaspoon coarsely ground pepper


  1. In 10-inch skillet, you want to bring water and salt to a full boil. Add beans.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 9 to 14 minutes or until beans are crisply tender.
  3. Drain beans and return to skillet.
  4. Add butter, garlic and pepper. Continue cooking for 2 to 3 minutes or until garlic is tender.

Alanís Kitchen Tip:
Sprinkle 2 ounces freshly grated or shredded Parmesan cheese over beans and let stand 2 minutes before serving.
