Robert Morris - Trivia powered by ABERobert Morris, Jr. was an American merchant and a signer to the United States Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the United States Constitution. 

Morris was known as the Financier of the Revolution, because of his role in personally financing the American side in the Revolutionary War from 1781 to 1784, and during his tenure as Superintendent of Finance his peers called him "The Financier".

Died: May 9, 1806, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Suffering from poor health, Morris spent the rest of his life in retirement. He was assisted by his wife, who had supported him throughout his misfortune.
