Tzvivvelle (Cream of Onion Soup)
Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients

– tablespoons butter
2
– cups yellow onions,
chopped
5
– cups beef broth
1/2
- teaspoon salt
1/4
- teaspoon pepper
6
– slices toast
1/2
- cups cheddar
cheese, grated
Directions
- In a stockpot at
medium heat, melt butter and add onions.
- Slowly cook until lightly browned, this may take 30 minutes.
- Add the beef broth.
- Reduce
heat to low and add the broth, salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
- In soup bowls,
place the toast.
- Ladle in the
soup and garnish with cheese.
Picnicking

Heat (on stove or in microwave) and pour into a thermos.
When you get to the picnic or tailgate site, just pour and enjoy.
