Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: LOW 6 – 10 hours or HIGH 3 – 4 hours

1 - stick of butter, melted
1 - onion, chopped
1-1/2 - cups orange juice
1/2 - cup maple syrup
1 - teaspoon cinnamon
5 - pounds butternut squash, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces

  • In the slow cooker, place the butter, onion, squash and orange juice.
  • Cook on LOW for 6 to 10 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours. 
  • Add the cinnamon and maple syrup.
  • Using a potato masher, mash the ingredients. 
  • Mix until smooth and serve warm.
