Slow Cooker Chicken
and Dumplings

Cooking Time: HIGH 3 hours
Ingredients
- 4 - whole chicken breast or 1 small whole
chicken

3/4 - cup carrots, sliced

1/4 - cup onions, chopped

1-1/2 - cups peas
- 4 to 6 - Tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 - cup water

1/4 - teaspoon salt

1/8 - teaspoon pepper

buttermilk baking mix dumplings

1/8 - teaspoon paprika
Directions
- Cook chicken in water in soup pot.
- Cool, skin and debone chicken.
- Return broth to boiling in soup pot.
- Cook vegetables in microwave on High for 5
minutes.
- Combine flour and water until smooth.
- Add boiling chicken broth.
- Add enough water to make 4 cups broth,
making sure gravy is thick.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- In the slow cooker, add chicken, carrots,
onions, peas, and gravy.
- Mix dumplings as directed on box.
- Place dumplings on top of chicken.
Sprinkle paprika.
- Cover and cook on HIGH 3 hours.
