Italian Sausage Subs

Ingredients
- 1 - Tablespoon olive
oil
- 1 - pound Italian
sausage links (about 5 links)
- 1 - large onion,
sliced thin
- 1 - medium green bell
pepper, cut into strips
- 1 - can (14 1/2
ounces) stewed or diced tomatoes
- 1 - can (8 ounces)
tomato sauce
- 1-1/2 - teaspoons
Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 - teaspoon Garlic
Powder
- 5 - steak or club
rolls, toasted, if desired
Directions
Heat oil in large
nonstick skillet on medium heat.
- Add sausage to skillet
and cook 3 minutes on each side or until browned.
- Remove sausage and set
aside.
- To the skillet, add
onion and peppers and cook 5 minutes. Stir.
- Add tomatoes, tomato
sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and sausage.
- Bring to boil.
- Reduce heat to low;
cover and simmer 15 minutes.
- Serve in rolls.
