Barbecued Hot Dogs
Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
- Barbecue Sauce
- 2 - Tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1/2 - cup chopped onion
- 1 - teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 - teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 - teaspoon Tabasco
- 1/4 - cup ketchup
- 4 - teaspoon sugar
- 4 - teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 - teaspoon mustard
- 3 - Tablespoon vinegar
- 6 - hot dogs
- 6 - hot dog buns
- 1/2 - cup chopped cilantro
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a sauté pan, melt butter, add
onion and cook until translucent. Then add the paprika, pepper,
Tabasco, ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire Sauce, mustard, and vinegar.
- With a sharp knife, cut 3 inch slit in
each hot dog. Place in flat baking pan, slit side up.
- Pour half the sauce over the hot dogs
and reserve the remaining barbecue sauce. Bake 20 minutes. Baste
frequently.
- Place franks in split, toasted,
buttered buns, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve sauce
separately.
