Queso Burgers
Makes 6
servings
Ingredients:
-
1 - package (16 ounces) pasteurized process cheese, cut
in 1-inch cubes

1 - can (10 ounces) Ro-TelŪ Original Diced Tomatoes and
Green Chilies

1-1/2 - pounds ground chuck or beef
-
Salt & pepper to taste

6 - hamburger buns, toasted
-
6 - lettuce leaves
-
6 - tomato slices
Directions:
-
In a 1-1/2 quart microwave-safe dish, add cheese and
tomatoes.
-
Mix and cover.
-
On medium, microwave for
10-12 minutes, stirring once during cooking, or until
cheese is melted.

Stir and set aside.
-
Season ground beef with salt and pepper to taste and
form into 6 patties.

Grill or pan fry until no longer pink
in center.

Build each hamburger on bun with lettuce and
tomato.

Drizzle queso (cheese-tomato mixture) over each patty;
top with bun.
-
Serve each sandwich with a cup of queso for
dipping burger while eating.
