Southwest Seasoning
Makes about 2 cups

1/2 cup dried cilantro

1/3 cup dried minced onion

1/4 cup dried chives

1/3 cup chili powder (hot or mild)

1/4 cup ground cumin

1/4 cup kosher salt

  • Take a large bowl and add the cilantro, onion, chives, chili powder, cumin and salt.
  • Mix the ingredients together.
  • Place my seasoning mixture in a sealed plastic container.

Picnicking & Tailgating

Use this in the Southwest Fiesta Dip Mix or it is even great as a Southwest Seasoning.  Just use it like salt or pepper.

If you like it real hot, then use hot chili powder.  However, you might like to use mild for a calmer taste.  I like to combine half mild and half hot.
