Open year round.

Each site includes:

  • Table
  • Grill
  • Waste receptacle
  • An accessible vault toilet is available.
The Allegheny Trail, #701, is located at the Gaudineer Scenic Area. The West Fork Trail, #312, is located along the Shaver's Fork River.

Scenic Area
The Gaudineer Scenic Area includes approximately 50 acres of virgin red spruce which is representative of vegetation that originally occupied large portions of the highland areas of West Virginia.

There are no fees for use of the picnic area.

Reservable - No. Sites are on a first come, first served basis.

  • Avoid this area when the wind is blowing as falling limbs or trees are likely due to the age of the old growth stands.
