Main Street Picnic Guide: New Mexico
Hyde Memorial State Park

740 Hyde Park Road
Santa Fe, NM 87501

Gate Hours: 8 a.m. - 11 p.m.

Hyde Memorial State Park is eight miles northeast of Santa Fe Plaza via Hyde Park Road.

Beautiful scenery, a quiet natural setting, and easy access make Hyde Memorial State Park a favorite picnic area, campground, respite, and base camp for excursion to the surrounding Santa Fe National Forest.

The unique beauty and natural wonders at Hyde Park make it an unforgettable reminder of nature's complexity.

Sledding, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing are delightful winter diversions in the snow-carpeted Hyde Park mountains.

Located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the park is vegetated with dense stands of evergreens, as well as aspen and shrubs. As a natural refuge for wildlife, the park provides the opportunity for the quiet and cautious visitors to view deer, raccoon, fox, coyote, squirrels, porcupine, and numerous species of butterflies and birds.
