Around 1871, there was a sufficient number of miners and prospectors around Mount Wasson, in the Bradshaw Mountains to warrant a town site.  It laid on the trail from Prescott to the Tiger and Eclipse Minutes.  It was called Bradshaw City.  At one time it had 5,000 residents.

At first there was only a cluster of tents, however, with the huge forest trees, lumber was the material in the more permanent structures.

  • Post office opened July 1, 1874 under Bradshaw.
  • Discontinued on December 15, 1884.
