Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking from AlansKitchen.comPotatoes Scalloped with Ham
Makes 6 servings


  • 2 - small slice ham
  • 6 - potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 - Tablespoons flour
  • 1/8 - teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 - teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 - teaspoon pepper
  • 4 - Tablespoons butter
  • 1-1/2 - cups milk
  • 1 - teaspoon parsley, minced
  • 1/4 - cup bread crumbs


Preheat oven to 350� F.

  1. In a baking dish, butter and add 1 ham slice on the bottom. 
  2. Add a layer of sliced potatoes to cover the ham. 
  3. Sprinkle with flour, dot with butter, onion salt, salt, pepper, and pour in the milk to cover. 
  4. Add the other ham slice and layer the potatoes. 
  5. Again sprinkle with flour, onion salt, salt, pepper, dot with butter, and pour in milk. 
  6. Sprinkle top with parsley and bread crumbs.
  7. Place baking dish in oven and bake 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
