Peach Marmalade
Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking from AlansKitchen.comMake 6 (6-ounce) glasses.


  • 3 - pounds peaches, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 - cup water
  • 1-1/2 - pounds white sugar


  1. In a saucepan at low heat, place the peaches and add the water.
  2. Slowly simmer, stirring to prevent sticking until the peaches are a pulp.
  3. Mash the peaches, add the sugar and continue to simmer 45 minutes.
  4. Constantly stirring until marmalade is clear and thick.
  5. Pour into hot, sterilized jars. Allow marmalade to cool and seal with paraffin.
