Pear Marmalade
Grandma Showalter's Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking from AlansKitchen.comMakes 10 (6-ounce) glasses.


  • 4 - cups pears pulp and juice, chopped
  • 2 - oranges, juice and grated rind
  • 3 - cups sugar


  1. In a saucepan at low heat, put the pears, orange juice and rind, and sugar.
  2. Simmer for 30 minutes. You want to constantly stir.
  3. Syrup should thread from a spoon.
  4. Pour into hot, sterilized jelly glasses.
