Berks County Apple Tart
1 (9-inch) tart
Prep Time: 20 min
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Line a pie dish with rich pastry. Cover bottom generously with flour and
half the sugar.
Place in the pie dish halves of apples,
peeled and cored (face up), one half face down in the center,
the other halves surrounding it. Fill in crevices between halves with
smaller pieces of apple and sprinkle with rest of sugar and with

butter. Bake in hot oven until apples are soft.
Cool and eat.
