Baked Tongue

Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking from AlansKitchen.comIngredients

  • 1 - small jar current jelly

  • 1 - lemon  juice

  • 2 - teaspoons orange rind, grated

  • 1 - teaspoon lemon rind, grated

  • 1 - boiled beef tongue


Preheat oven 425� F.

  1. In a saucepan, melt the jelly. 

  2. After melted, add in the lemon juice, orange and lemon rinds and cook until mixture thickens. 

  3. In a baking dish, place the boiled beef tongue. 

  4. Coat with jelly syrup and baked until the tongue is glazed about 30 minutes.
