- 1 - quart dandelion flowers, no stems
- 3 - cups boiling water
- 1 - yeast cake
- 3 - pounds sugar
- 1 - lemon, cut in small pieces
Pour the boiling water over the flowers
and let stand for 24 hours. Strain.
Add yeast to the liquid and let stand
another 24 hours. Strain again, add sugar, lemon, and
enough water to make 1 gallon.
Set aside in a crockery jug. (If water is added, or if it stands as
long as a month, it will ferment.)
