Snickerdoodle Cookies

Makes 4 dozen cookies

Chilling Time: 2 hrs or more
Baking Time: 10 min

Ingredients:

•       1  cup shortening
• 1-1/2  cups sugar
•       2  eggs
• 2-3/4  cups all-purpose flour
•       2  teaspoon cream of tartar
•       1  teaspoon baking soda
•    1/2  teaspoon salt
• Dusting
•       2  Tablespoons sugar
•       2  teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add eggs and beat well.
3. In a bowl, sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir into creamed mixture.
4. Chill dough 2 hours or more.
5. Form into balls the size of walnuts.
6. Roll each ball in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
7. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned and soft.
