Mrs. Fegley's Angel Food Cake
Makes 1 large cake.
- 1 - heaping cup flour
- 1-1/2 -
- 1/2 - teaspoon salt
- 11 - egg whites
- 1-1/2 - teaspoon cream tartar
- 1/2 - teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 - teaspoon almond extract
Preheat oven to 325° F.
Sift flour 3 times, sugar 3 times. Resift flour with half the
sugar and the salt.
Whip egg whites on a platter with wire whisk
until they are foamy. Add cream tartar, whip until stiff.

batter into an ungreased 9-inch tube pan.
Bake for about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Take from oven and turn upside down
When cake is cool remove from pan.
