Lancaster County Crumb Cake
- 1-1/2 - cups sugar
- 3-1/2 - cups flour
- 2 - teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 - cup shortening
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1/2 - cup milk
- 1 - teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease and
flour 8-inch cake pan.
In a large
mixing bowl, sift together the sugar, flour and baking powder. Cut
in the shortening.
Remove and reserve half the batter for the
crumbs. Stir in the eggs and milk to the remaining batter in the
