1 cake pan.
- 4 - Tablespoons butter
- 1 - cup powdered sugar
- 2 - egg yolks, beaten
- 1-1/4 - cups flour
- 1-1/2 - teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 - teaspoon salt
- 2 - egg whites, whipped
- 1/2 - cup milk
- 1 - teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 - cup sugar
- 1 - Tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 - cup walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 325° F. Grease and
flour 9 x 12-inch pan.
In a small bowl, whip together the
butter and sugar to a creamy consistency. Mix in the egg yolks. In a
large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Gradually mix in the creamy butter-sugar mixture.
Alternate with the
milk. Then add the vanilla. Next, fold in the egg whites. Pour
batter into pan.
In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle sugar-cinnamon mixture over the batter and sprinkle the
walnuts. Bake in oven for 40 minutes. Cut into squares.
