Broiled Steak with Horseradish Sauce

Broiling Time: 10 min.
Cooking Time: 3 min.

Ingredients:

  • Steak Ingredients:
    •    2  pounds top sirloin beef steak
  • Horseradish Sauce Ingredients:
    •    1  cup Sour Cream
    • 1/4  cup milk
    •    1  Tablespoon prepared horseradish*
    •    1  Tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
    • 1/4  teaspoon pepper

Directions:

Preheat broiler.

  1. Place steak on greased broiler pan.

  2. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat, turning once, until desired doneness for 10 to 12 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, in a 1-quart saucepan, combine Sour Cream, cup milk, prepared horseradish, chopped fresh parsley, and pepper.

  4. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through for 3 to 4 minutes.

  5. To serve, cut steak on the diagonal into thin slices. Serve with hot horseradish sauce.

GRILLING DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.

  2. Place steak on grill. Grill, turning once, until desired doneness for 10 to 12 minutes.

  3. Prepare sauce as directed above. Serve steak and sauce as directed above.

*Substitute 3/4 teaspoon dried dill weed and 2 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard.
