Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce is solidified cranberry syrup with lots of added sugar. Cranberry sauce can be a jelly or a jam, depending on whether or not the skins and seeds are filtered out.

The fruit will generally come apart when vigorously boiled, so there is no need to crush or puree it when a jam-style cranberry sauce is desired. Cranberry sauce can be made from cranberries and sugar alone.
