Mary's Buckwheat Cakes
Makes 24 cakes

Ingredients:

• 1 - teaspoon baking soda
• 2 - cups buttermilk
• 1 - Tablespoon molasses
• 1 - teaspoon salt
• 2 - cups buckwheat flour, sifted
• 1 - egg, beaten

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, mix the baking soda with buttermilk. 
2. Add the molasses. 
3. Sift in the salt and flour, and add egg. 
4. Set aside for a few minutes, then stir well, adding more flour if needed. 
5. The batter should be thin. 
6. Pour batter on greased hot griddle and cook until golden brown. 
7. Turn once.
