Buckwheat Cakes
Makes 24 cakes
Ingredients:
- 1 - teaspoon baking soda

2 - cups buttermilk

1 - Tablespoon molasses

1 - teaspoon salt

2 - cups buckwheat flour, sifted

1 - egg, beaten
Directions:
- In a large bowl, mix the baking soda with buttermilk.
- Add the
molasses.
- Sift in the salt and flour, and add egg.
- Set aside for a
few minutes, then stir well, adding more flour if needed.
- The batter
should be thin.
- Pour batter on greased hot griddle and cook until
golden brown.
- Turn once.
