Strawberry Shortcake (Biscuit)

Makes 6 servingsCake Recipes from AlansKitchen.com

Ingredients:

  • Shortcake

    • 2-1/2  cups Bisquick Original baking mix

    •    1/2  cup milk

    •       3  Tablespoons sugar

    •       3  Tablespoons butter, melted

  • Strawberries

    •       1  quart strawberries, sliced

    •    3/4  cup sugar

    •       6  Tablespoons butter

    •       6  scopes vanilla ice cream

Cooking Directions:

Preheat oven to 425-degrees F.

Shortcake

  1. In a mixing bowl, add Bisquick, milk, sugar, and butter.  Stir until soft dough forms.

  2. On an un-greased cookie sheet, drop 6 spoonfuls of dough onto sheet.

  3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

Strawberries

  1. In a bowl, add strawberries and sugar.  Take a glass and mash the strawberries fine.

  2. Split biscuits in half and butter.  Spread a 1/4 Tablespoon on each half.  

  3. In a bowl, layer on a 4 Tablespoons of strawberries on the bottom half.  

  4. Top with top half of biscuit and spoon on two tablespoons of strawberries.  

  5. Garnish with a scope of vanilla ice cream.
