Firecracker Bites

Makes 14 servings (3 wafer sandwiches each)Recipes from AlansKitchen.com

Prep Time: 30 min.
Freezing Time: 2 hrs.

Ingredients:

  •       1  package (8 oz.) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
  •       1  cup cold milk
  •       1  package (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
  • 1-1/2  cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, divided
  •       1  package (12 oz.) vanilla wafers
  •    1/2  cup mixed red, white and blue sprinkles
  •     42  pieces red string licorice (1 inch)

Cooking Directions:
  1. In large bowl with mixer, beat cream cheese until creamy.

  2. Gradually beat in milk. Add dry pudding mix; beat 2 min.

  3. Whisk in 1 cup COOL WHIP.

  4. Spoon about 1-1/2 Tablespoon pudding mixture onto each of half the wafers.

  5. Cover with remaining wafers to make sandwiches.

  6. Freeze 2 hours or until filling is firm.

  7. Spread tops of wafer sandwiches with remaining COOL WHIP.

  8. Dip in sprinkles. Insert licorice piece in top of each for the fuse.

  9. Freeze until ready to serve.
