Butterscotch Blondie
Makes 36 bars.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 - cup (1-1/2
sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- 1 - teaspoon baking soda
- 2 - eggs
- 2 - cups all-purpose
flour
- 3/4 - cup packed light
brown sugar
- 1/2 - cup granulated
sugar
- 1-2/3 - cups (10-ounce package) Butterscotch Chips
- 1/2 - teaspoon salt
- 1 - cup chopped nuts
(optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to
350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing
bowl, add the butter, brown sugar and granulated
sugar.
- Beat until creamy.
- Next, add the eggs and
beat well.
- In a large mixing
bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.

Then gradually add to butter mixture, beating until
well blended.

Stir in butterscotch chips and nuts,
if desired.

Spread into prepared pan.

Place in oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes or until top
is golden brown and center is set.
- Cool completely
in pan on wire rack.
