Galena Skillet BarBQ Pork Chops

Baking Time: 1 hr


  • 4 to 6 pork chops
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 2 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (8-ounces) tomato paste


  1. In a large skillet, brown chops in oil. Drain off fat. Over the chops, add the celery, lemon juice, brown sugar, dry mustard, salt and pepper.
  2. Pour tomato sauce over all. Add another can of tomato sauce if necessary.
  3. Cover and let simmer over low heat about 1 hour or until tender.
