Annie’s On-Target Beef Brisket

Ingredients:Cowboy Cooking Recipes from AlansKitchen.com

1/3 - cup molasses
1/3 - cup hot sweet mustard
1/2 - cup packed brown sugar
3/4 - cup wine vinegar
1/2 - cup pineapple juice
1/4 - teaspoon hot sauce
1 - Tablespoon minced onion
3 - Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 - teaspoon chili powder
1 - beef brisket (4 to 6 pounds)

Directions:

1) In a bowl, mix molasses, hot sweet mustard, brown sugar, wine vinegar, pineapple juice, hot sauce, onion, Worcestershire sauce, and chili powder. Mix well.

2) In a heavy plastic bag, add beef. Pour in marinade and seal. Place in refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 325-degrees F.

3) Pour marinade and beef into a foil lined baking dish. Cover with foil. Bake for 2-1/2 - hours.

4) Transfer to grill or smoker for 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours.

5) To serve, slice in thin diagonal pieces.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
