Laredo Rib Eye Steak

  • 2 - pounds rib eye steak (4 steaks 1-inch thick)
  • 1/4 - teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 - teaspoon pepper
  • 2 - Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 - clove garlic, crushed


Prepare a medium fire in your grill.

  1. Blend the olive oil and garlic in small bowl.  Brush the garlic oil on both sides of the steaks.

  2. Lightly sprinkle the steak with pepper. I leave the salt off until the last. Place the steaks on a well oiled grill.  

  3. Grill uncovered for 14 to 16 minutes.  Turn the steaks about every 5 minutes.  Your steaks should be medium done.  Take steaks off the grill and cover loosely with foil.  Let the steak's rest for 3 minutes before serving.
