Western Casserole

Cowboy Cooking Recipes from AlansKitchen.comMakes 6 to 8 servings

Prep Time: 20 min.
Baking Time: 1 hr.

Ingredients:

  •    1 - pound ground beef

  •    1 - can (16-ounces) whole kernel corn, drained

  •    1 - can (16-ounces) red kidney beans, drained

  •    1 - can (10-ounces) tomato soup

  •    1 - cup shredded Cheddar cheese

  •    1 - Tablespoon instant onion

  • 1/2 - teaspoon chili powder

  •    1 - can (10) refrigerated biscuits

  •    2 - Tablespoons melted butter

  • 1/4 - cups crushed soda crackers

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 F.  Grease large casserole dish.

  1. In a skillet, brown beef.  Add corn, bens, soup, cheese, onion, and chili powder. Mix.

  2. Pour beef mixture into casserole dish.  Bake for 1 hour.

  3. Roll biscuits in melted butter, then in the crushed crackers. Place on top of beef mixture for the last 15 minutes.
