Makes 4 servings
- 2 - Tablespoons
- 8 - slices whole-wheat bread
- 8 - eggs
- 1/2 - teaspoon
- 1/8 - teaspoon
Spread the butter or margarine on both
sides of bread. On a cutting board and using a 3-inch
cookie cutter or drink glass, remove the center of each bread slice. Heat a skillet and grease lightly.
Place the buttered bread in the
skillet, including the rounds. Place egg in the center of each slice.
Season with salt and pepper. Cook eggs until the area around the
yolk turns white. Turn and cook until yolk is done. Serve.
