Colt .45 Coffee Cake

Preheat oven to 350° F and lightly grease an 8-in. square-baking pan.

Into a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and
salt into a large bowl. To the flour mixture, add the egg and milk. Mix to a soft dough.

With a kitchen spoon, spread the dough evenly in
the baking pan. Brush top with melted butter. In to small bowl, add the 1/4-cup sugar
and cinnamon. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the top of the coffee cake.

Put into the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until done. To test for
doneness, insert a wooden pick into the center. You want it to come out
clean. Serve warm.
