SW Chili Con Carne

Directions

In a large heavy
skillet, sauté onions and garlic in the olive oil.
Add beef and brown.

Add chili powder,
oregano, cumin, salt, chiles, and beef broth.

Cover and simmer 1 hour, or until beef is tender.

Chili should thicken and if it becomes to dry, add water.

Add pinto beans and
cook covered for an additional 30 minutes.

Serve in bowl with the grated Longhorn as a topping.
Picnicking &
Tailgate
You can make the chili a day or two ahead of time.
Heat (on stove or in microwave) and pour into a thermos.
When you get to your picnic and tailgate party, it is nice and hot.
