Home-style Apple Oatmeal

Makes 2 servingsBreakfast & Brunch Recipes from AlansKitchn.com

Prep Time: 5 min.
Cooking Time: 15 min.

Ingredients

  •    1  cup rolled oats
  •    2  cups cold water
  • 1/2  teaspoon salt
  •    1  apple, finely chopped
  •        Dash cinnamon
  •        Dash nutmeg

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine oats, water, and salt. 

  2. Cook for 10 minutes on low heat.

  3. Add apple, cinnamon, and nutmeg and cook for 5 minutes or until apples are done to desired softness.

Kitchen Tip:
You can serve with brown sugar, honey, or cinnamon-sugar, and milk.
