Skillet Pan Pizza

Ingredients

  • Crust Ingredients
    • 2 - Tablespoons Butter
    • 1-2/3 - cups all-purpose flour
    • 2 - teaspoons sugar
    • 2 - teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/2 - teaspoon salt
    • 2/3 - cup milk
  • Sauce Ingredients
    • 1 - can (8-ounce) tomato sauce
    • 1 - can (6-ounce) tomato paste
    • 1 - teaspoon dried basil leaves
    • 1/2 - teaspoon dried oregano leaves
    • 1/2 - teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
    • 1/4 - teaspoon pepper
  • Topping Ingredients
    • 6 - ounces (1-1/2 cups) Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
    • 1 - cup sliced 1/4-inch fresh mushrooms
    • 2 - ounces sliced pepperoni
    • 1 - medium green pepper, thinly sliced
    • 1 - medium tomato, thinly sliced
    • 1 - can (2 1/4-ounce) sliced pitted ripe olives

Directions

Preheat oven to 425F.

  1. In medium bowl stir together butter, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. You want to stir in milk just until moistened.
  2. In 10-inch ovenproof skillet, melt butter in oven for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, on lightly floured surface knead dough for 1 minute or until smooth.
  4. Press dough on bottom and halfway up sides of skillet.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, in small bowl you want to stir together all sauce ingredients.
  7. Spread sauce over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese and mushrooms.
  8. Arrange pepperoni, green pepper and tomato on pizza; sprinkle with olives and remaining cheese.
  9. Continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
