Buffalo Chicken Cheese Dip

Makes 2 cupsAppetizer & Snack Recipes from AlansKitchen.com

Prep Time: 10 min.
Total Time: 15 min.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 - pound sliced deli American cheese, cut into quarters

  • 1/2 - cup chopped cooked chicken

  • 1/2 - cup milk

  • 2 - teaspoons hot sauce

  • 1/4 - cup blue cheese dressing

  • 1 - jar (2-ounce) diced pimentos, drained

  • Tortilla chips, celery sticks and/or carrot sticks

Directions:

  1. Mix cheese, chicken, milk and hot sauce in a medium microwave-safe bowl.

  2. Microwave, stirring halfway through, 3-4 minutes or until cheese is melted and smooth. Stir in blue cheese dressing and pimentos.

  3. Pour into a serving bowl. Serve with tortilla chips, celery or carrots.

Alanís Kitchen Tip

  • This dip can be prepared in a slow cooker.  Place cheese, chicken, milk and hot sauce in 1-quart slow cooker on Low heat setting.  Cook, stirring occasionally, 1 1/2-2 hours or until cheese is melted.  Add blue cheese dressing and pimentos just before serving.

  • The dip could also be prepared as directed above and transferred to a slow cooker to keep warm while serving.
